Best Time To Visit


Although Tirupati Balaji attracts millions of pilgrims across the year, the best time to visit the temple is winter, that is from November to February as the temperature remains moderate with slightly chilly nights. During summer, the weather is hot and humid making it difficult to enjoy the pilgrimage.

The devotees can do the darshan in two queues at Tirupati Balaji. One of them is the Sarvadarshan which is free for all, and the other is the VIP queue which charges Rs 300. The temple opens at 3 am in the morning and closes at 1 am.

As the temple holds high devotional value and gets tonnes of offerings from devotees in form of gold, cash and other valuables, the security is very high at the temple. Henceforth, the rules for the Tirupati Balaji darshan procedure are also very strict.

The first amongst them is that you must have ID proof while visiting the temple. It can be a PAN card, an Aadhar card or a driving license as well. The other rule that is followed strictly is that western clothes are not allowed in the temple, so the pilgrims must wear ethnic clothes like dhoti-kurta and saree or salwar kameez for women.

The temple also does not allow mobile phones and other electronics in the temple premises and if someone is carrying the same, they have to submit them at the counter before entering the temple premises.
